Can you see beyond the image?
See behind the flashy smile?
Do you even notice the little boy inside,
begging to be let out?
Or do you only see the conman, the scam, the supplier?

Can you see beyond the image?
See behind the gruff attitude?
Do you even notice the little Scooter inside,
wanting to be Mama's boy?
Or do you only see the size, the gold, the growl?

Can you see beyond the image?
See behind the insanity?
Do you even notice the hidden genius,
peeking out from time to time?
Or do you only see the pilot, the cap, the nut?

Can you see beyond the image?
See behind the cigar?
Do you even notice the human,
hidden within the legend?
Or do you only see the leader, the plan, the invincibility?
