Tatsumi Kimishima is the President and Representative Director of Nintendo Co., LTD, and oversees the business of one of the largest and most successful video game publishing and development companies.
Tatsumi Kimishima is the President and Representative Director of Nintendo Co., LTD, and oversees the business of one of the largest and most successful video game publishing and development companies.
Kimishima was named President of Nintendo, effective September 16, 2015, as part of a role change in directors following the passing of Satoru Iwata earlier that year.
Previously, Kimishima served as CEO and Chairman of the US arm of the company, Nintendo of America. He served as president of NOA from January 2002 until May 2006, and was succeeded by Reggie Fils-Aime.
In his tenure as president of Nintendo of America, Kimishima replaced the retired Minoru Arakawa. Kimishima had been with NCL for the prior two years, serving as Chief Financial Officer of The Pokemon Company and, in 2001, President of Pokemon U.S.A. Inc. Kimishima assumed his new responsibilities as soon as Arakawa stepped down in January of 2002.
A native of Japan, Kimishima spent over 25 years with the Sanwa Bank in several management roles, including nearly seven years in New York and California.
