She's been talked about endlessly for months, but Hollyoaks fans have finally been given their first glimpse of the mysterious Darcy Wilde.
Adam Donovan's "dead" fiancée made her first appearance in Friday night's E4 first look episode (March 10), as Maxine Minniver decided to search for answers over the missing person's case.
The latest Hollyoaks episode saw Maxine follow a lead to a café after hearing about a woman called "Rebecca" who could possibly share new information about Darcy.
"Rebecca" proved to be extremely unhelpful by claiming that she actually knew nothing, but when Maxine returned home and looked at an old newspaper cutting about Darcy's disappearance, the penny dropped that "Rebecca" actually was Darcy!
Played by Aisling Jarrett-Gavin, Darcy will be seen again in Monday's E4 episode when Maxine heads back to the café - taking Adam's mum Tracey with her this time.
With Tracey backing her up, Maxine knows that Darcy will have no choice but to drop the "Rebecca" act. Of course, the big question afterwards will be whether Maxine lives to regret tracking her down, especially when her own relationship with Adam is going so well.
Hollyoaks had been teasing Maxine's meeting with "Rebecca" with the release of some new pictures today, but they kept quiet about her true identity until tonight's episode aired.
Nikki Sanderson, who plays Maxine, also featured in a video released on Hollyoaks' official Twitter page this morning - but now this sneakily-updated version shows that there was a hidden message in it all along.

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.
