At the information session, admissions advisor Nancy Desmond will provide an overview of Bastyr University outlining its unique programs, community and environment.

Then Bastyr graduates Michael R. Spano, MS, LAc and Stephanie Maxson, MS, RD, CSO, LD will talk about their experiences at Bastyr and participate in a Q&A. Spano is an acupuncturist and Maxson is a senior clinical dietitian at the Intergrative Medicine Center at MD Anderson Cancer Center-Houston..

The event will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Omni Hotel Southpark. It is free and open to all interested individuals.

Internationally recognized for its rigorous, science-based curriculum, Bastyr is an accredited institution of natural health arts and sciences. Its degree programs include:

  • Bachelor's degrees in nutrition, herbal sciences, exercise science, integrated human biology, health psychology, and psychology & human biology.
  • Master's degrees in nutrition (four tracks:didactic program in dietetics, clinical psychology, wellness, and nutrition), midwifery, acupuncture and East Asian medicine, counseling psychology and Ayurvedic sciences.
  • Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
  • Postbaccalaureate programs for nutrition and naturopathic medicine and certificates in holistic landscape design and Chinese herbal medicine.
