Congratulations to the winners and participants of the 67th Annual Chicago Public Schools Student Science Fair hosted at The Museum of Science and Industry, March 17-19, 2017! CPS will send 66 students to participate in The Illinois Junior Academy of Science Exposition on May 5 - 6, 2017 in DeKalb, Illinois. These students also received a family membership to the Museum of Science and Industry. Students received $10,450 in special awards from various donors. The Science Fair originated in 1950 as a vehicle to encourage and motivate young science students and provide opportunities for students to conduct authentic research and expose them to diverse science learning communities. CPS has graduated students who have participated in previous science fairs and are now conducting ground breaking science discoveries in colleges and universities throughout the country. Meet some of the wonderful FIV+ cats that are currently available for adoption at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center! Myron, Jinx and Gray have their paws crossed they will be adopted soon! Cats that have Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) can live many happy years with their families, especially with an excellent high-protein diet and low environmental stress. Cats with FIV have a compromised immune system and as a result, are vulnerable to other diseases so they require extra care if they are sick. FIV kitties need a home without other cats or with those who are also FIV+. Will you give Myron, Jinx or Gray the love they deserve?
