Beach Mini Album

I finally finished my first mini album a few weeks ago. My BFF had gotten it the other day and loved it -- so special to send a one of a kind gift and have it mean alot.

So I'll get right into it...

It's a 5X7 mini album. I found some linen at a craft shop in Oklahoma City that I used for the front and back cover. Title and palm tree: Paper Wizard. There was actually more to the Paper Wizard title but it wouldn't fit so used only those two items. Shells are Impression Obsession with embossing powder.

I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Mojito, Hit The Beach, and Super Thick Gold embossing powders.

All the paper is Echo Park, A Perfect Summer, unless noted. The inside front cover is Glitz Design, Afternoon Muse Stripe paper. Paper clip - Making Memories, Poolside. Sand Dollar - Paper Bliss Accents with glitter added. Wave sticker - EP, A Perfect Summer.

Stickers - EP, A Perfect Summer. Bucket - Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

Drink - Hero Arts stamp - CL438, colored, added stickles glitter and fussy cut.

Die Versions Sweet Petites Sand Castle embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Hit the Beach. Stickles - Lagoon on flag. Added Mudd Puddles - Cabana Beach, along the bottom. Bucket - TPC Studio Summertime Beach, colored and fussy cut. Added glossy accents to bucket as well.

hehe..my friend was trying to take out picture with the ipad but couldn't see..so I ended up acting like I was being smushed.

Die Versions Cute Cubes "Life is Better at the Beach", washi tape along the inner side, stickers.

Stickers - Echo Park, A Perfect Summer. TPC Studio - word stamps. Shell brads.

Finnabair 12X12 stencil (dots). Memento inks: Tangelo, Dandelion. Glossy Accents on some dots and Stella - Wink of Stella. Scrappy Moms stamps - Sun Kissed.

Impression Obsession stamps - Beach Fun (sandals, and sentiment)

Impression Obsession die (shells) - DIE077-W
with Stampendous Shabby Blue embosing enamel

Washi tape - inner side of page. Stickles - Lagoon and Xmas Red.

Aquarium tickets with fishy stickers from Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

Paper Studio Bubble Letters

Fussy cut small fish from another picture. Words are fussy cut from brochure. Fish stickers.

Cut more info from the brochure and added to pics. Taped two pics back to back as added pages throughout album.

As you can see, there are various sizes of pages, postcards for journaling, and other memorabilia I saved to create this mini album, including the stickers I bought from Ron Jon Surf Shop for the inside of the back cover.

I also bought a couple sets of key chains for this album (and mine whenever I get to it.) The fiber is from Alpha Stamps.

Not ALL the pages but the more "exciting" ones. :-)

Basket Full of Goodies

Easter is only a day away...still feels almost like winter! :-(

Yesterday it was cold and rainy...and today is still drizzly and a high of 60. I don't like...that is all for my rant today. LOL.

Here's one of the cards I made...

I thought this came out too darn cute.

The basket and tulips are IO. Fresh Cut Grass is MFT. Sentiment is Craft Smart. The bunny and chick are stickers from stash. I used a egg stamp onto colored paper and cut out. Soft Shades.

Happy Easter!!!

Love Ya

Saturday morning here..watching the US Hockey Team vs Russia. I recorded it so it's almost over for me...Go USA!

Well, it's also the day after Valentine's Day but I have a couple cards to share that I haven't posted yet. :-)

I think these are my favorite 2 cards I made this year.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Paints (fired brick, barn door, victorian velvet, andspun sugar) with a brayer to cover an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper.

Background:
Tim Holtz Hearts stencil with Adirondack Snow Cap paint and Magenta Hue ink. 7 Gypsies alphabet stamps were inked with white pigment ink. Studio G Hearts stamps with Magenta Hue and Walnut Stain DI. I also see a IO heart die that I used...I die cut the heart and used the reverse image to add the ink. I don't think you can see on here really but I also used Gesso Fiber paste to add hearts with a stencil.

The main image is by Lost Coast Designs. I stamped the image twice and cut the head and popped it up. Sakura White and Glitter Gelly roll pens used along halo and border of background.

A Rustic Christmas

Finally the rain has stopped and the sun is shining. We've been getting so much rain (a continuation from spring and summer) and clouds! Yuk!! Christmas is just about a week away...and I have yet to go Christmas shopping. I am just so behind this year - I don't know why. :-/

Here's another card I made for Christmas..my first attempt with the Sizzix accordion die. So fun to decorate each panel.

The paper is by The Paper Studios - Santa & Friends. Edges all inked with TH Vintage Photo.

Here's the front of the card. The sentiment is by TH Stampers Anonymous. The holly leaves are by Impression Obsession.

The tree is also a IO die. I added Viva Glitter Liner - Holo Iridescent to the snowflakes.

Both the deer and fir tree are IO dies. I added Stampendous Shabby White embossing enamel for snow.

The last panel - Leaping Deer - is a Memory Box die.

Oh Hoppy Day!

Hello all....just wanted to share another Easter card with y'all. :-) Sitting here watching Idol from last night, getting caught up on the Jodi Arias trial.

One last dimensional card I made. I had so much fun with them, will definitely be making more!!

Used a Stampin' Up Woodgrain Textured embossing folder for the border kraft paper. Than cut center out with Spellbinders Labels Eight die. Swiped Teay Dye Distress Ink around the edge. The branches are Impression Obsession - Leafy Branches, Flowers are Memory Box - Flower Mound with Glam Pink Stickles added in center. Grass is My Favorite Thing - Fresh Cut Grass, cut out twice. Added Eucalyptus Stickles on some of the grass blades and front of grass. The top layer was popped up with mounting tape. The bunnies are from Impression Obession with some Tea Dye Distress ink around the edge.

The sentiments are both from Sparkle N Sprinkle

Easter Tag -- Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013

I was just gonna say it's Monday, but it's not...it's Tuesday. LOL. That's what happens when you are on a shift schedule. Today is MY Monday! :-) Yesterday had some t-storms roll through and my poor pup was scared. Out came her thunder shirt and her meds. Yes, my dog takes prozac! Poor thing!

This weekend I managed to finally get the tag done for this month's Tim Holtz tag. I had no idea what I was going to do with the bunny and flowers or sentiment since I don't have those items...but I think this came out great. LOVE it! :-D

I used the same paper stash as in Tim's tag (Seasonal Paper Stash, Tim Holtz) and sanded the edges. Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Five for the bunny background. Used Sticky Stuff and Stampendous Vintage Pink Embossing Tinsel over entire background. LOVE it!! I just bought this tinsel last week and it is SO pretty. The bunny is a IO die (set of 3). It is popped up on the tag. The sentiment is from Sparkle N Sprinkle which I believe is discontinued. I cut the edges into a banner and popped it up and added some bling. The grass is My Favorite Things - Fresh Cut Grass. The branches are IO - Leafy Branches and the flowers are Martha Stewart - Hydrangea punch. I added some distress Stickles - Clear Rock Candy to the pink flowers and Glam Pink and Yellow Stickles to the center of the flowers. Sheer ribbon on top and some pink twine around the Spellbinder die.

I just love the sparkle this Embossing Tinsel puts out...so need to get other colors!!! :-D

Easter Peeps

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. The weather here has been so enjoyable. Spring is definitely here. I was cutting myself short by a week too I just realized a bit ago. I was thinking Easter is next Sunday but I still have a couple weeks. Whew! LOL.

Here's a couple adorable (if I do say so myself, hehe) cards I made.

I used a wood grain embossing folder and Spellbinders Labels Eight die to emboss and trim the kraft cardstock. Added pattern paper to card and popped up the die cut/embossed with mounting tape. The branches are Impression Obsession - Leafy Branch (2), My Favorite Things - Fresh Cut Grass (2), Memory Box - Flower Mound. The top grass die was popped up with mounting tape. The chicks, eggs, and sentiments are from Sparkle N Sprinkle and colored with Copics. I added Lacy Lilac glitter to center of flowers on trees and Sunny Daze glitter to chicks.

Here's a second card that is very similar with some minor changes...

I added some Distress Ink along the edge of the kraft paper. Added the trio of peeps by Sparkle N Sprinkle. Pink flowers on trees with Glam Pink Stickles to center of each flower.

I really had fun making these little scenes with the various dies. First time trying it out. Love getting inspiration from all my bloggers! :-)
