Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of these posted pass/fail results. These results, however, are unofficial and are provided as a courtesy for your personal information. Official bar examination results were mailed to each examinee on March 31, 2017, to the mailing address on file with the West Virginia Board of Law Examiners. You will not be able to obtain pass/fail information or actual scores by telephone from the Board of Law Examiners or the West Virginia State Bar. Please do not telephone either agency to request such information.
Please note that Rule 3.4 of the Supreme Court’s Rules for Admission to the Practice of Law provides that “[t]he grades assigned to the West Virginia Bar Examination shall be final and no appeal shall be considered.” Additionally, Rule 1.0(d) prohibits “[c]ontact regarding bar examination results or admission concerns by telephone or otherwise with individual members of the Board of Law Examiners, with individual Justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals, or with graders of the West Virginia Bar Examination. . . .”
The General Admission Ceremony for February 2017 bar exam applicants who have qualified for admission will take place on the morning of May 17, 2017, at the Supreme Court of Appeals. If you passed the exam and have not yet had your character interview, you will be contacted shortly about scheduling it. Information about the ceremony and registration forms will be e-mailed to applicants as their files are completed. Information about credentials needed to complete your file has been mailed to you with your bar exam scores. Please review this information before calling the Board’s office with any questions.
