Shifter
Player File.exe from
Tribalwar (for players, not for servers)
Shifter
Player File.exe from shiftermod.com (for
players, not for servers)
(this file is required if the server is using the
extra vehicles like HERCs, Griffon etc)
Optional: shiny vehicle
skins (makes vehicle skins look a little more reflective
in shifter)
Optional: T2map
AutoDownloader (downloads clientside maps if they are
available)
mirror #1: ShifterClientPack.vl2
direct link (save to Tribes2/GameData/Base)
INSTALLATION for .Exe version:
Download and run the self extracting File (if you have
installed Tribes2 to a non-default location you will need
to change the extract path)
After Installing this file load Tribes 2 and choose Keys for
the Shifter specific options in Settings-Controls as seen
below
If it fails to load, delete your scripts
folder - that usually fixes any script errors and removes
all old temporary script files, this is a safe procedure as
.dso files are automatically rebuilt if they are deleted (assuming
you haven't done something weird to your T2 install).
WHAT IS INCLUDED : In the latest incarnation of the
ShifterClientPack, EVERY THING IS INCLUDED, PERIOD! Every
thing that you need to have the Shifter Client. Models. Huds,
and other great Shifter goodies!!! (but you cannot use new
vehicles on a server which does not have them turned on!)
If you have Problems:
If you have missing reticles :: Load T2, click Launch
(bottom left button), Select "Shifter", click SAVE
SETTINGS, reload Tribes2 (this is fixed in 2.91 client download
as of 9th November).
If you can not access the Vehicle Pad Menu properly
:: Load T2, click Launch (bottom left button), Select "Shifter",
click SAVE SETTINGS, reload Tribes2 (this is fixed in 2.91
client download as of 9th November).
If have no extra keys for weapon options etc :: Load
T2, click Launch (bottom left button), Select "Shifter",
click SAVE SETTINGS, reload Tribes2 (this is fixed in 2.91
client download as of 9th November).
If you cannot steer any new vehicles and you have Panama
Jack's scripts :: turn off 3rd Person Pilot in Vehicles Download
optional vehicle skins
for Shifter to see environment reflections enabled on vehicles
- GREAT if you have a powerful graphics card
- clientside means
files on the players computer (players are clients), serverside
means everything is on the server and no downloads are needed
to join. You can NOT join a server that has any clientside
data on it if you don't have that data. This is the same as
player skins, you can not see other peoples custom skins unless
you have the same files as them. Clientside = you need to
download something, serverside = anyone can join. Shifter
servers can run as either serverside (no hercs) or clientside
