Dante Tomaselli Unleashes Dark New Album WITCHES!

Dante Tomaselli is primarily known in the horror world as a director, having helmed the nightmare inducing indie cult features TORTURE CHAMBER, SATAN’S PLAYGROUND, HORROR and DESECRATION. And while he continues to plot out future cinematic horrors such as the upcoming remake of ALICE SWEET ALICE, he’s also been delving into the dark world of incidental, ambient music!

Not that his music should be thought of as incidental, but more as soundscapes to horror films that just haven’t been made yet.

After successfully recording and releasing the albums THE DOLL, NIGHTMARE and SCREAM IN THE DARK, Tomaselli has just completed his new fourth album WITCHES! Of his influences, he told Fangoria, “I was raised on this kind of dark-ride aesthetic. Growing up, some of my favorite albums were ’70s Halloween soundscape LPs like SOUNDS TO MAKE YOU SHIVER! and CHILLING, THRILLING SOUNDS OF THE HAUNTED HOUSE. I listened to those gloomy and atmospheric albums endlessly, my imagination lighting up.”

Below you’ll find a sample of two of the tracks from WITCHES, “The Dungeon” and “Religion.”

You can find WITCHES digitally right now via Amazon. You can also search “Dante Tomaselli” on Amazon for his previous albums, or find them on All Music.
