LUNA SEA celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2014. On May 29th, its birthday, the group held a single band live concert commemorating its 25th anniversary at the 1st Gymnasium of the Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo. This commemorative concert was followed by their "25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR: THE LUNATIC-A Liberated Will-", which started at Mori no Hall 21 in Matsudo City on June 7th and is scheduled to give a total of 32 concerts in 16 cities. This tour is the first nationwide tour for LUNA SEA in 14 years, which makes it undoubtedly a dream come true for all the fans throughout the country. With more than half of the tour completed and only several more concerts to go, the tickets for their concert at Saitama Super Arena on December 21st, 2014 (reported below), sold out as soon as they were made available for purchase.

Shortly after the curtain time, the lights of the hall went out, and at that moment the audience stood up all at once applauding so loud as if to erase the sound of the piano in the background. As a line of white laser light extended to the audience, the stage lit up and the members appeared. It felt as if the tension of anticipation had reached its peak, but as soon as the members started playing "Anthem of Light", the audience responded with their loud cheers. Following RYUICHI's shout saying "It's been a long time, Saitama Super Arena! Let's make this place the hottest place in the world!", the band sped up their performance and played "Rouge" and "END OF SORROW" one after another without any break in between.
