How to get there: Located in south Ipswich, from the railway station go up Willoughby Road hill, turn right at the top into Belstead Road. Continue straight on - the road turns into Stoke Park Drive. Go past Bourne Park and at the bottom of the hill turn left into Bobbits Lane. The car park is at the end of the road.
The wood is on the opposite side of the road.
Bus: Ipswich Buses routes 7 and 15 stop at Thorington Park on nearby Ellenbrook Road
Visitor facilities: Grass trails, wheelchair accessible, car park, seasonal events.

Belstead Brook Park, includes Belstead Meadows, Spring Wood, Millennium Wood, Bobbits Lane Meadows, Ashground Plantation, Ostrich Meadows, Bourne Reedbeds and Bourne Park.
What to see: Spring Wood - Ancient oak woodland with hazel understorey. Some coppiced sections. Lime and hornbeam. A drainage ditch/stream runs through the middle of the site.
Volunteer and 'Friends of' groups: Friends of Belstead Brook Park, Spring Wood Volunteers.
The Friends of Belstead Brook Park (FoBBP) meet on the second Saturday of each month to carry out conservation work in Belstead Brook Park.
