The Brick Presbyterian Church was the setting here yesterday evening for the marriage of Lynn Forester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kenneth Forester of Oradell, N.J., to Alexander Hartley Platt, son of Dr. and Mrs. Adrian T. Platt of Madison, N.J.

The Rev. Charles Henderson of the Central Presbyterian Church performed the ceremony.

Laurie Melcher was the maid of honor and Terry Forester was matron of honor for her sister‐in‐law.

The bridesmaids were Alison Cooper, Lauren Geisler and Sally Lodge.

Nicolas Platt served as his brother's best man.

The couple are students at the Columbia University School of Law, where they recently completed their second year of study.

Both received Rotary International Graduate Fellowships for 1978‐79. They will study international law at the Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales, in Geneva, before returning to complete legal studies at Columbia.

The bride, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., served as assistant to the deputy campaign manager in the senatorial campaign of Democratic Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York. The bride, who will keep her maiden name, will be with the New York law firm of Spengler Carlson Gubar & Churchill this summer.

Her father is sales manager with the Cook Machinery Company, wire manufacturer in Hackensack, N.J, and owner and president of the General Avaiation Company, a Teterboro, N.J., sales, service and aircraft flight instruction concern.

Mr. Platt is attending Columbia on an accelerated degree program from Bowdoin College, where he was editor of The Orient, the college newspaper. He will be with the law firm of Casey, Lane & Mittendord this summer. His father is a veterinarian.

The bridegroom is a great‐grandson of the late Helen Hartley Jenkins, New York philanthropist and welfare worker, and a great‐great‐grandson of Marcellus Hartley, financier and philanthropist, of New York.
