"Pickers' Paradise" has been a long-time slogan of the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS, and pickersparadise.org was the late Don Shorock's "Fan Site" for that festival. It hosted the archive of winners, etc, before the official site got started.
The old site was well past its prime, and 15-year-old code has vulnerabilities that I don't feel like fixing. I will see about saving the best parts of that site.
I'm still trying to come up with a raison d'etre for this domain. A Walnut Valley "community site" of some sort?? For me... Instagram, Facebook, and a hundred other sites have that stuff covered. But, if you have some greater vision for a Winfield "fan" site, hit me up. I have the domain, space, and the technical chops to work with you on it.
If you want to re-live that site in its late-20th-century glory, I recommend finding it at the Internet Archive.
