The new Counter-Strike is finally about to hit.

After numerous delays, developer changes, and generally one of the most tumultuous development cycles of any PC title, Vivendi Universal announced today that Counter-Strike: Condition Zero will ship to retail on March 23, 2004. Yes, that's less than a month away.

Originally announced in May 2001, Condition Zero serves as a full overhaul and expansion of the original, wildly popular Counter-Strike. While Condition Zero runs on the original CS engine, graphics have been tweaked considerably, with detailed models and high-resolution textures helping bring the title to current standards. Condition Zero will also feature 20 new maps available in both single- and multiplayer modes.

Of course, there's plenty more that's been added to the new title. Check out our complete coverage so far to get all the juicy details. With mere weeks now until the game's release, you'll also be seeing plenty of new details from us as soon as they come in. Stay tuned.
