Guitarist with East Texas ties killed in murder-suicide

Nassau Bay, Texas (KETK) - Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in southeast Texas.

According to KTRK, officials discovered the bodies of Kenny Cordray, 62, and  his son Kelly Corday, 33, inside a home in the 18300 block of Carriage Lane in Nassau Bay, Texas, on Sunday.

Kenny's wife told authorities she witnessed the crime and neighbors said they heard arguing followed by gunshots, reports KTRK. Family members say Kelly killed Kenny before killing himself.

According to Kenny's Facebook page, he is from Texarkana, but lived in Nassau Bay. His social media profile also states he is a member of the Grammy Awards and has collaborated with some of music's biggest names, including co-writing THE ZZ Top hit, "Francine"

Hundreds of tributes for the guitarist were posted on social media following the news of Kenny's death.





Autopsies on Kenny and Kelly are expected to be performed on Monday.
