PANAMA CITY, Panama – Tauro FC standout Felipe Baloy will miss Panama’s World Cup qualifiers in June with an injury, the Federación Panameña de Fútbol announced Monday night.

The 36-year-old defender is expected to be out of action for three-to-six weeks after suffering a muscle tear in his right thigh on Saturday as Tauro defeated Arabe Unido, 1-0, in the 2017 Panamanian Clausura final.

Panama, which sits third in the CONCACAF Hexagonal table, will face Costa Rica (June 8, away) and Honduras (June 13, home) without its captain, who has appeared in eight games during the qualifying campaign for Russia 2018.
