Crews were called to Lindon Road in Brownhills, forcing it to shut.

West Midlands Fire Service said received a 999 call just before 4pm to the Renault Megane on fire. The blaze caused damage to the house.

The fire affected windows on both floors and also burned some bushes but firefighters stopped it from causing more damage.

The neighbouring property was also affected, but no one was in the homes at the time and there were no injuries, firefighters said.

The road has since opened again.
