Category:CS1 maint: ASIN uses ISBN

This is a tracking category It is used to build and maintain lists of pages—primarily for the sake of the lists themselves. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme. This is a tracking category for CS1 citations that use |asin= where the assigned value may be an ISBN. Module:Citation/CS1 checks the ASIN value and if the value has the form of an ISBN (passes the length, composition, and checksum tests) adds the page to this category. While the value assigned to |asin= may appear to be an ISBN, in fact, the value may not be. It appears that |asin=630... values are not ISBNs.

When the value assigned to |asin= parameters is a valid ISBN, |asin=ISBN should be changed to |isbn=ISBN. When there is an existing |isbn= parameter, the |asin= parameter should be removed. Associated |asin-tld= parameters should be removed. Pages in this category should only be added by Module:Citation/CS1.

While most of the Citation Style 1 and Citation Style 2 error messages are visible to all readers, some remain hidden. Editors who wish to see all of the CS1|2 error messages can do so by updating their common or skin CSS stylesheet to include:

Even with this css installed, older pages in Wikipedia's cache may not have been updated to show these error messages even though the page is listed in one of the tracking categories. A WP:NULLEDIT will resolve that issue.
