MVCC Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) is jointly sponsored by the college and the New York State Education Department. STEP serves to encourage qualified high school students to consider careers in STEM fields and licensed professions. Programming includes peer mentoring, tutoring, standardized test preparation, college visits, workshops and educational field trips. These activities are centered on fostering student success in high school and beyond.

Welcome to the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP). Open to students from various backgrounds, CSTEP provides customized strategies for success in all aspects of your life-with a special emphasis on your career plans for pre-med/pre-law, health related fields, engineering, education, accounting, and more. Alumni of the program have credited CSTEP with providing opportunities to foster personal and professional growth, helping them to complete their degree to transfer or continue on their career journey.
