    CLOUDBASIC RDS AlwaysOn/Geo-Replicate (Multi-AZ/AR) for SQL Server HA/DR

    If SQL Server is part of your cloud or hybrid cloud system architecture, CloudBasic RDS AlwaysOn/Geo-Replicate (Multi-AZ/Multi-AR) for MS SQL Server Web, Standard and Enterprise editions, could become your solution for:
    (1) Readable-Replicas: create RDS/EC2 SQL Server Multi-AZ and/or Multi-AR (Cross-Region; hybrid) Readable-Replicas for High-Availability (HA), to off-load primaries, Data-Locality or Disaster Recovery (DR). All RDS/SQL Server editions, including Web Edition, are supported.
    (2) Cloud DR & Reporting/DWH, No-Downtime Migration: continuously replicate SQL Server from On-Premise to AWS RDS, EC2 SQL Server.
    (3) Multi-AZ compatible: enhance Multi-AZ w/ creating Multi-AZ or Multi-AR (Cross-Region) Readable-Replicas.
    (4) Reduce TCO by scaling down from SQL Server Enterprise to RDS/EC2 SQL Server Standard or from SQL Server Standard to RDS/EC2 SQL Server Web Edition. Continue using the product for creating AlwaysOn compatible Multi-AZ Readable-replicas or Cross-Region (Geo-Replication; Multi-AR) Read-Replicas.
    (5) Contact CloudBasic to activate RDS/SQL Server to RedShift/S3/EMR/Hadoop data feeding functionality: continuously feed data form RDS/EC2 SQL Server or from On-Premise to RedShift or S3 (SCD Types 1-3), for BI/Reporting/DWH with i.e. Tibco SpotFire/JaperSoft or Tableau, while at the same time you have the option to maintain Multi-AZ or Cross-Region/Multi-AR SQL Server database replicas for SCD type 1 SQL Server based Real-Time reporting or DR.

    Usage Instructions

    Once the instance is running, and port 80 opened in the security group, connect to it by pointing a browser to the public DNS root URL (or IP) at default www port 80. Login with user: admin, initial temporary password: {EC2 Instance ID}. Upon successful login, you will land on the wizard page, which will allow you to initiate RDS/SQL Server replication in various scenarios, in just a few clicks. For more complex deployments, you would need to switch to advanced mode.
