Welcome to DatJoeDoe Show's Joe's Blog!! This week he's taking us back to the best from 2016...

Let's take a look back at the best tracks 2016 had to offer!

"Rough" by GFRIEND

Before "Rough" I knew about GFRIEND but wasn’t captivated by them. That changed very quickly after seeing "Rough"'s dramatic music video with amazing vocals and knife-like dance moves. I, along with a lot of other people realised how talented they are. They also started the double speed challenge on Weekly Idol with this song and absolutely nailed it.

"Playing With Fire" by BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK’s first comeback was quite soon after their debut releases of "Boombayah" and "Whistle". I’m glad it happened because this is my favourite song from them. The song showcases how different BLACKPINK are from other girl groups; their confidence and swagger make them stand out.

"FXXK IT" by BIGBANG

This is my favourite song from the MADE album. There’s this chilled out, care-free vibe where all members look like they’re just having fun. It translates perfectly into song. A fitting way to end their amazing comeback.

"Blood, Sweat & Tears" by BTS

BTS have been on the rise for a while now, bursting on the scene with hit-after-hit, but this is my all time favourite track from the boys. The song itself is like a piece of art, and the dance moves and music video compliment it perfectly. If you haven’t seen it - where have you been? - it’s truly a masterpiece.

"The 7th Sense" by NCT U

The beat on this track reminds me of American hip-hop. It’s got that new style of big, heavy beat drops that are super catchy. NCT U show off their talents with their incredible dance routine for this music video along with their rap and vocal skills. Just remember one thing ‘Open your rice!’ haha

"Monster" by EXO

EXO make at least one huge record each year. They’re already legends in my eyes. "Monster" is yet another addition to their record success. The super catchy chorus, and unique music video make this one stand out even among EXO’s own discography. It’s a must-listen.
