• Today's game featured a pregame banner raising ceremony in honor of Michigan's 2014 outright Big Ten championship.

• With its total of 92 points, U-M broke the 90-point barrier for the first time since Nov. 12, 2013, against South Carolina State (93-59 win).

• As a team, the Wolverines knocked down 30-of-58 field goals (51.7 percent), including a blazing 11-of-19 (57.9 percent) clip from beyond the arc.

• The Maize and Blue sank 21-of-25 free throws (84.0 percent), including 14-of-16 second-half attempts. High free throw percentages have become a staple of John Beilein's teams, in addition to low turnovers and fouls. The Wolverines continued those trends today with just six team turnovers and seven personal fouls committed.

• U-M registered 16 assists on 30 made field goals (53.3 percent), led by Caris LeVert's career-high nine (previous: five) and four from Derrick Walton Jr. That duo combined to commit just one turnover.

• The Wolverines picked up 11 steals as a team, led by a game-high four from Kameron Chatman.

• U-M featured a trio of players in double-digit scoring: Derrick Walton Jr. (team-high, career-best 22 points), Zak Irvin (21) and Caris LeVert (20). The last time the Wolverines boasted three 20+ point-scorers was Dec. 10, 2011, against Oakland University (Hardaway 21; Burke, Smotrycz 20).

• In addition to his career-high 22 points, Derrick Walton Jr. also matched career-high totals in three-point field goals made (three), free throws made (nine) and free throws attempted (10).

Caris LeVert's stat line of 20 points, nine assists and eight rebounds left him just short of a triple-double. Had he accomplished the feat, he would have been the first Wolverine since Darius Morris had 12 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists on Jan. 30, 2011, against Iowa.

• Overall, U-M utilized nine different scorers: Walton, Irvin, LeVert, Chatman, Mark Donnal, Ricky Doyle, Spike Albrecht, D.J. Wilson and Aubrey Dawkins. For Chatman, Donnal, Wilson, Dawkins and Doyle, those were their first regular-season points in a Michigan uniform.

• In addition to its variety of scorers, U-M had nine different players pull down at least one rebound (LeVert, Chatman, Donnal, Walton, Irvin, Doyle, Albrecht, Wilson, Dawkins) and six different players register at least one steal (LeVert, Chatman, Donnal, Walton, Irvin, Doyle and Albrecht).

• Redshirt freshman Mark Donnal and true freshmen Kameron Chatman, Ricky Doyle, D.J. Wilson, Aubrey Dawkins, Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkmanand Austin Hatch made their regular-season debuts today. For Donnal and Chatman, it was also their first career start.

• Today's starting lineup consisted of Derrick Walton Jr., Caris LeVert, Zak Irvin, Kameron Chatman and Mark Donnal.

• Attendance at today's regular-season opener was a sold-out 12,707.
