Using your laptop on campus? Need to print?

Anteater ID CardLaser Printing

Laser printing is available in OIT labs. All lab printers are managed by the printing software system and you can release your print jobs using your UCI/Campus ID card or with a purchased Guest print card. Black and white printing is 10 cents per page. Color printing is available in the Student Center C138 lab for $0.20 cents per page.

Double-sided printing is not available in the OIT Labs but you can go to the UPS Store located at the Student Center to print double-sided documents, wide format, custom printing, etc.

How to use the Print System

  1. Locate a Card Loader (Vending Machine) to add value to your UCI/Campus ID card or to purchase a Guest print card. Guest print cards are $1.00 each and has $0.50 cents added value. See Card Loader  locations below.
  2. Add money to your card following the posted instructions in increments of $1, $5, $10 or $20.
  3. Send your document to the printer from the computer you are using. Use the File Menu and select Print.
  4. Go to the Print Release Station (PRS) available in the computer lab.
  5. Swipe your UCI/Campus ID card into the card reader.
  6. Select your document(s) from the list and print your document(s).
  7. Press Quit when the printer has released your print job.

You may also use the UCI/Campus ID card at some non-OIT labs on campus such as Engineering, ICS, Humanities, Social Science, and UCI Libraries.
