The GNOME Virtual File System is the GNOME 1.4+ file access library. It provides file system abstractions (so that e.g. you can access files contained in a tar file or on a WEBDAV server transparently) and asynchronous operations (so that the application does not block while executing them).

New Advogato Features

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
