Since early 1998 I've been involved with the KDE-development. Most of the time I do icons for KDE -- if you want to see some of the icons I made, have a look at the following screenshot: ftp://derkarl.org/pub/incoming/screenie0204.png After I finished my diploma-thesis about magnetic white dwarfs (no tales - only astrophysics) I have been hired by SuSE. They give me a lot of time to work on KDE. Except for my hobby^H^H^H^H^Hjob I also enjoy stargazing, astronomy/physics, playing the piano, singing, reading scientific magazines as well as other books. Ah, in case you wonder: "Tackat" of course is the recursive acronym for "The Artist Currently Known As Tackat". Formerly it was "The Artist Currently Known As Torsten" (coolo called me like that) -- but in the Unix-world you'd better be recursive ...

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
