This is the story of when Dray, Nate, and I spent the better part of two days trying to figure out a bug. Hopefully, you won’t run into this same bug with your applications, but if you do perhaps this can be of some help.

  7. Build Your Own Touch Slider with HammerJS

There are countless pre-built libraries for sliders, carousels, and everything in-between, and it seems like a major one comes out every other year or so. While most of those work fine in a vacuum, your choices quickly narrow when you need to add part or a whole slider in the middle of an existing mobile app without invasive JavaScript, CSS, and bloated markup. In these scenarios, HammerJS comes to the rescue by making it easier and more time-effective to build one from scratch than you may have thought.

  10. You Should Try Ember

We’re huge fans of Ember. The goals, the direction, the momentum, the community, and the team behind it are something that we can all envy. This isn’t a new idea coming from a honeymoon phase, either. We’ve been building, developing, testing, and maintaining Ember applications for around four years now and even have some SproutCore experience before that. When Code School approached us last summer to create Try Ember to refresh their Warming Up with Ember.js course. We were excited to help.
