JOY AT THE STATE ALZHEIMER'S CONFERENCE in the Wisconsin Dells May 5-9, Kalahari Resort, Wisconsin Dells
Basting and the TimeSlips Team presented the opening keynote "Creativity, Connection and Hope" at the WI State Alzheimer's Conference in May. They shared the creative outpouring of the 50 nursing homes participating in TimeSlips' Creative Communities of Care training as transformed by a team of dancers (Tom Hjelmren, Liz Hintz, Amy Sutheimer, and Jackie Kostichka) and artists including Basting, Jessica Meuninck-Ganger, Karen Parr, and Madison Tebo. A workshop followed the keynote and engageed participants in a variety of creative engagement techniques, blending creative conversation, storytelling, movement, music, and raw joy.
