I'm not really active here anymore; still running freenode and doing my best to hang on in an economy that's not so great. I had set up a new account here to bump out my old account with all of its ancient certs, but I haven't participated much since I set it up. I was most active on Advogato during the Gold Rush and that time, with its unreal, pressure-cooker atmosphere, is thankfully past.
Of all the certs I received on Advogato, the one that meant the most to me was given to me on this account. In addition to his technical competence, Joel Klecker distinguished himself by being one of the nicest people I've never met. No mean-spiritedness, no rancor, just a friendly person with a sense of humor, who did good work for the community. Remembering espy is a nice bit of closure for a period in my life. I suspect he left gifts of that sort to a lot of people.
