Notes:

Sketch is a vector drawing program. It's written almost completely in python for flexibilty with some modules written in C for speed.

Sketch supports some interesting features like gradient fills, clip masks, text along a path or blend groups and it can convert text to curves.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
