To be a good listener all you have to do is practise the  T.Q.L.R strategy

T  to tune in and listen (use eye contact) give the speaker your attention

Q is to ask questions to make sure you under stand what the teacher is saying

L you have to listen to what the teacher has to say

R review to see if you understand the task or if

you need to ask more questions
