I recently bought a Zenit-E SLR that came with an M42 mount Helios 44-2 58mm f2 lens. With an adapter the lens works great on my Canon 40D and it's amazingly sharp. The Soviet company KMZ copied this lens from a Carl Zeiss Jena design they captured during WWII, which may explain why it's such an amazing lens.
