Last day at Red Hat

After four and a half years at Red Hat, I'm about to take the three weeks of holiday I've built up and am then heading off to Nebula at the beginning of December. I'm still planning on being active in UEFI and Secure Boot development, and don't expect anything to change in terms of my Fedora involvement. It's been a fun time here, so just imagine that I'm writing something about exciting future challenges while I go back to saying goodbye to people.

Nebula employs a significant set of the Openstack upstream developers.

I only know a few of the people at Nebula (I worked with the Anso Labs / Rackspace folks a few startups ago) but they're all fantastic people.

Nebula is doing interesting things with hardware appliances that build OpenStack clusters for you, so I imagine there are hardware / OS roles as well. I'd be interested in if I'll see you submitting to OpenStack as well though.

Matthew, welcome to the Bay Area from the Silicon Valley Linux User Group and the Silicon Valley Linux Technology Group (the first indy, the latter on meetup.com). Might one of these groups convince you to reprise one of you recent presentations on UEFI? The first group is general interest and has a large population of sysadmins, as LUGs often do. The second group is more about kernel-hacking and embedded and would enjoy a more hard-core presentation.

Sure, but I'm still located in Boston at the moment - I'll be moving out at some point, but don't have a firm date yet and it'll probably be on the order of 6-12 months. Probably visiting regularly, so we'll probably be able to work something out.

Fedora issue

Can you please pass along to the Fedora people my install issue?

I am trying to get Fedora+efi to boot on my Mac Pro (2010). Older versions (17 or older till you reach the intro of efi support) did work, but the last time it updated, it would no longer boot. The 19 release would not get past the install process. The same problem for 18.

I would like to migrate to Fedora from Mac OS for academic reasons. The other issue with fedora is not being able to report problems anonymously.
