Great overview on the current State of the Decentralized web.  Doesn’t mention the IIW, Status.net, Kynetx, the VRM project or the Indie Web – but something is better than nothing!

Can’t hide from the truth – only 4% complete MOOCs

Two people I highly respect: Doc Searls and Phil Windley are both pointing to Fred Wilson’s speech at LeWeb about: the transition of hierarchies to networks.  Though I can agree with much that Fred says, there’s also the human element.  Fred has the right to be a VC, befriend reprehensible people, but also be a leader and do lots of coolio things – as well.  I guess the underlying assumption is that none of this theory stuff is perfect.
