SC2001, the international conference for high performance computing and communications, convened in Denver, Colorado on 10-16 November with seven days of technical programs, technological demonstrations and exhibits, for the over 5000 attendees that gathered at the Denver Convention Center.

Plans are already underway for SC2002 which will be held Nov.16-22 at the Baltimore Convention Center.
In 2002 the conference will continue to move beyond the realm of "big iron" machines and fast networks. SC2002 will highlight the role of high performance computing and networking in transforming terabytes of data into knowledge that can transform science, our daily lives, and our world.
