Indie folk musician Chris Bathgate began his solo career in 2001 and has made a name for himself in the Upper Midwest. His music, peppered with acoustic instruments, is melancholic, introspective and even-keeled. Bathgate's latest album, "Old Factory," comes out Feb. 5, and is his second album released on Quite Scientific Records, following 2011's "Salt Year."
