These procedures are intended to ensure that the College complies with its legal obligations concerning Freedom of Speech. It is published within the framework of the General Regulation .

Research Governance

Safeguarding Good Academic and Scientific Practice (PDF download)

This policy aims to ensure that College research practice is of the highest quality and integrity. The policy is divided into two sections:

Both sections should be read by all academic and contract research staff and adhered to before undertaking research within the College.

Terms of Reference of Research Ethics Sub-Committee

This Code of Practice is intended to promote high standards of ethical awareness and conduct on the part of all College staff and students undertaking research. It should be read by all academic staff, contract research staff and students before undertaking research in conjunction with the Goldsmiths policy on Safeguarding Good Academic and Scientific Practice (PDF download).

The Management Framework (approved by Council in June 2006 and amended several times since) sets out the arrangements by which the responsibilities of Council for legal compliance are delegated to the members of staff of the College (both generally and in specific cases). Certain specific types of decision may only be taken by designated officers. The Framework covers the Data Protection Act, the Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations.

This policy aims at ensuring that the College presents and promotes itself to its external markets positively and effectively, and that all material distributed externally represents and reflects the College's activities, culture and ethos in a coherent, consistent and accurate way, including through the use of visual images.
