Below is one of the children's stories I hope to publish. I have several manuscripts ready for print. I still need an illustrator and an affordable publishing company. I am currently looking for a sponsor who believes in my work and can launch me in the direction I need to take to make these children's books a success

A Fish Who had a Wish

Once upon a time there was a little guppy fish who lived out in the ocean blue and had a great big wish
He knew not what to say or do, he knew not what to try
so he wished upon a starfish fish but I he starfish asked him why
“Why did you wish your wish on me, your wish I cannot grant.”
“I cannot make your wish come true, I want to, but I can't”
“You should ask the big blue whale down at the southern tip”
“He lives down on the ocean floor inside a sunken ship”
So the guppy left to find the whale along the ocean floor
to ask the whale to grant his wish “that's all I'm asking for.”
but the big blue whale could not help him or make his wish come true
he said to try the Northern Sea that's what you need to do
so the guppy swam to the far North Pole in search of someone wise
he swam up to the otter’s den to ask the otter guys
"We cannot grant your wish my friend, did you ask the big blue whale?”
“I asked the big blue whale at first, my wish, it must not fail!”
The otters called a conference to discuss the guppy’s need.
The guppy needs the otter’s help, they must find help indeed.
The otters called the polar bear who called the great white shark
the shark then called the octopus who said, "it must be dark."
"The ocean floor is dark, that's true, but the stars are in the sky
you must go where the sky is dark, that's what you need to try."
he thanked the otters and swam away on the surface of the sea
he swam in search of the setting sun, that's where his wish must be.
He swam through ice and tidal waves
He swam through wind and rain
He swam through hail and thunderstorms
and through a hurricane
He swam along the Equator beneath the setting sun
but everywhere he checked the time, it was a quarter after one.
“I do not know or understand why the sun won't disappear,
I swam around the world to find the sun was shining there.”
He asked a stingray “What went wrong? I did as I was told”
The stingray checked his database, he checked his watch of gold
He checked the diameter of the earth, and the sun up in the sky
he calculated in his head and found the reason why,
“You should not follow the sun,” he said, “you should go the other way,
“turn around and go back East, it should take you half a day”
The guppy turned back to the East and waved to say goodbye
he was sure to get his wish this time and here's the reason why;
In the east in the dark of night, he closed his little eyes,
he made a wish on the first star's light only then to realize:
The guppy wished to see the world and he saw the whole world wide
In every direction that he swam, he made friendships on his side.
So when you wish upon a star, the stars don't have to fall,
but keep believing in your wish until it comes true after all.
The Guppy's wish had indeed come true, when he searched for that first star
Searching all the world for it, searching near and far
So, never give up on your wish or dream, you won’t be thought selfish,
Stay on the he path to find your star like the fish who had a wish
