Health Information Technology

The Health Information Technology program is a 2-year technical program leading to an associate degree that prepares the individual to work as a technical specialist in Health Record Systems.

Health Information Technology combines a profession in health care with information technology. Health Information technicians maintain, collect, and analyze data crucial to the delivery of quality patient care.

Location: Jefferson Davis Campus, Gulfport, MS

Type: Hybrid (mix of majority online courses with some traditional in-person coursework)

Register for Orientation

Bulldog Sessions

Orientation is a wonderful opportunity for new students to start off their college experience. You will have an opportunity to tour the campus, receive information on Financial Aid, register for classes and get your student ID made.

All sessions start with registration at 12:30 p.m., welcome sessions at 1:00 p.m., tours at 1:30 p.m. and course registration at 3:30 p.m. Please expect to be on campus until 5 p.m.
