As part of the ramped up coverage of MLG’s season-opener in Charlotte, we will be out on the floor of the competition talking to spectators and professionals. A new series to look for over the weekend will be “Ask a Pro.” We will field questions from people in the audience as well as readers on the website. Submit a question and we will pose it to a professional gamer. If your question is chosen, it will appear on the website along with a response from a pro!

Questions can range from strategy to a pro’s life or preparation. Make your questions interesting and specific. If you have a question for a specific person, make sure you include their name and we will do our best to track down that player for an answer!

To submit a question, visit our forums and post in this thread.

For Round 3 we pulled Vash away from the floor and asked a few questions from the forums and spectators.

Was it hard to find players that “click” well with you and anyone else you already had recruited?
-TheMaker420

Vash:Well, a lot of options fell through for us. First we had Legit, and it didn’t work out. Then we had Saiyan, KillerN, Cpt Anarchy… that didn’t work out. And then we just picked up Joe, and it happened to work pretty well. It was pretty hard to find a player though.

Joe listens and he can mesh well to our team. With really good players, they already have a distinct playstyle. With less accomplished players [like Joe] who haven’t made it to a top placing, they don’t have a distinct playstyle. So we let him fill in the role that we needed for our team.

The last two times you faced Str8, you suffered 3 – 0 sweeps. If you face them in Round 3, what will be your mentality?
-Jefferson Mangum

Vash:We’re going to crush Str8 Rippin. That’s my mentality.

Do you have any stories of people recognizing you in the mall or grocery store?
-SideShowMel0329

Vash: So many times at the mall. I get called by people I’ve met before, but also by people I’ve never seen. It’s just because at the mall where I used to work, there used to be a LAN center there. So, I’m pretty famous in my area I guess, but outside of that not as much.

What are your predictions for Top 8?
-Andrew Wood

Vash: Carbon, Final Boss, Str8 Rippin, Redemption, FBI The Agency. After that I don’t care. If I were to put my team up there, I’d say we were going to get third place.
