Aug 09, 2017: Details of unreleased AMD Ryzen Threadripper microprocessor
recently surfaced in CPU support lists of ASUS, ASRock and Gigabyte
motherboards. New 12-core processor has a model number of 1920, which
resembles a model number of another 12-core Ryzen Threadripper CPU,
the 1920X. However, the 1920 and 1920X processors are quite different
as the 1920 runs at lower frequency and has lower power consumption.
Availability dates and prices of Ryzen Threadripper CPUs
Aug 01, 2017: This week, AMD disclosed full specifications and prices of upcoming
Ryzen Threadripper 1920X and 1950X microprocessors. They also
announced new 1900X SKU, that will feature 8 CPU cores and lower price
than the 1920X model. Additionally, AMD revealed availability dates for all
three Ryzen Threadripper models.
Specifications and launch dates of Ryzen 3 and Threadripper CPUs
Jul 15, 2017: AMD disclosed details of upcoming Ryzen 3 and Ryzen Threadripper
desktop microprocessors. Ryzen 3 is a family of
inexpensive processors without integrated graphics, and the first
members of it will be models 1200 and 1300X. Ryzen Threadripper brand
will be used for high-end desktop CPUs, that will compete with Intel
Core i7 and i9 Extreme Edition products. AMD plans to launch two
Threadripper models, the 1920X and 1950X.
