The Theosophical Society in America is part of the international Theosophical Society. The American Section is organized into three geographical districts (eastern, central, and western). In each district there are two kinds of local groups, called Lodges (or Branches) and Study Centers. In some parts of the country, local groups and individual members join together in a voluntary association called a Federation.
