Boston Breakers sign Libby Stout as goaltender replacement

The Boston Breakers of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) have signed goalkeeper Libby Stout, the club announced on Wednesday.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team and league policy.

Stout will replace Abby Smith, who was sidelined after receiving a platelet rich plasma injection in her right knee.

This mark’s Stout’s second stint in Boston, as she signed with Boston in Nov. 2015, but was waived last month. During her one season with Boston last year, she made nine starts and led the team in saves with 42, while finishing with a 2.10 goals against average.
