Class leader: Larry Ledford

It doesn’t get much more dramatic: rescued baby, life in the courts of Pharaoh, parting the Red Sea, leading his people out of Egypt. Moses’ life was one challenge after the next, that he wasn't entirely willing to take on. Join award-winning author Adam Hamilton as he travels from Egypt to Mt. Sinai, the Nile, the Red Sea, and the wilderness exploring the sites of Moses’ life. As Hamilton shares historical information, archaeological data, and biblical text, you’ll gain a better understanding of Moses’ significance to life today, and you’ll discover how you, too, can turn your own reluctance into boldness.

Spiritual Gifts
Four weeks, beginning October 3
6:30 pm in  the Disciple Room
Class leader: Larry Beck

Discover your spiritual gifts in this four week class that will help you understand how God created you and uniquely equipped you for service

Top Ten United Methodist Beliefs
Seven weeks, beginning October 2
6 pm in  the Disciple Room
Class leader: Ellen Bertelsen & Kathy Morrison

There can be no doubt about what Jesus thought was 'the main thing,' the Great Commandment to love God with our heart, soul, and mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves. What were the non-negotiables for the founder of the Methodist movement, John Wesley? Wesley’s first priority was to grow Christian disciples who loved God and neighbor. The class describes how a passionate Wesley can still inspire us to travel the road to perfection using some of the basic beliefs as signposts, so that we can more fully follow Jesus. But discipleship can be arduous and God’s grace is not cheap. We must be prepared to walk the walk and not just talk.
