Nick Diaz wins fights, but considering that he's not fighting top flight competition, he stands no chance against top P4P fighters like GSP.

Don't get me wrong, Diaz is a good fighter, but not top P4P caliber. Someone like Thiago Alves would paint the octagon red with Diaz's blood. People who think Diaz can beat GSP don't know what the hell they are talking about.

1st how can anyone take you seriously with kimbo in your username? so during that fight. Zaromskis hits diaz hard and turned diaz's head. hurt diaz and made him cover. what are his eyes doing? they are looking at zaromskis, they aren't rolled back into his head. when eyes roll back it is a KO. while backing up diaz slipped and zaromskis had his best chance to finish but couldn't. end of story. you can't discredit the ass stomping he gave zaromskis. i thought that was a horrible thing to do to zaromskis. having his US debut against diaz was not fair to him.
how many fights are flawless victories? this was a heavy one sided fight, flawless? no...ask frank shamrock about one sided fights too lol

In all honestly, I'm more excited to see Moussasi and Aoki fight, over the main event hendo shields fight.

Zoromskis is a good fighter, and Diaz embarassed him. He beat him difinitively.

While Diaz is certainly a tough fighter, I just don't see him beating GSP or BJ. Both would be fun to watch, but I don't see him winning either one of them. I guess it doesn't help that I'm not a fan of either Nick or Nate...but they sure can scrap.

Hmmm, a lot of guys are big on Nick Diaz, including Diaz over GSP. Did i miss Nick taking a level in badass? Maybe i'm wrong--this happens to me far more often than i'd like--but i lean toward the idea that Diaz has been fighting lesser competition, making him look like more of a world-beater. I do enjoy his fights though, and i don't dislike his personality. I'm just not ready to swing off hs nuts quite yet.

I have been watching Diaz lose, revamp, lose again, revamp, win, win again and win yet again for quite a while now.
I think it is crazy that Dana is not after him in a hard core way. If there is any true challenger out there to de-throne the mighty GSP, it is Diaz!

You could simply solve that problem by just banning SF from having champions. It's not like their belts mean anything as long as the UFC is around.

That being said Diaz is for real and I wish he was in the UFC because he is one of my favorite fighters and has grown leaps and bounds since his first UFC stint. I would go as far as to say if he remathced any one of the fighters he lost to in the UFC he would not only beat them but finish them. Sakurai is in big trouble here.

Let's face, these fights are worthless: 1.) You're essentially admitting that the challenger has no chance to win, and you set up a squash fight to show off your champion and 2.) If the challenger actually does win, then it isn't fair to tell him "You beat our champion, but you're still not good enough to be a champion to us.". Not to mention, 3.) What happens if your champion gets hurt? Do you really risk losing all the exposure and money he gives your organization over what you thought was a meaningless fight? Keep the fight, but come on, put the title on the line.

The dude is well and away my favorite fighter and as much as I love to see him dominate over and over again, I really want to see him prove without a doubt how talented he really is.
