Welcome to Children’s Aid Society in Clearfield County

Children’s Aid Society in Clearfield County improves the lives of children and families by offering a wide range of services, such as Adoption and Foster Care, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clearfield County, Child Care and Early Learning, and Family Support Services.

Programs

Youth mentoring is one of the agency’s oldest programs. Now known as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Clearfield County program is part of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. The program features both school and community based programs.

The Adoption program offers private, statewide, and international adoptions and home studies.

Foster care offers a safe home and a nurturing family for children during a time of crisis. Often, children in the foster care system become eligible for adoption.

The Child Care center houses day care and early learning, which includes Pre-K Counts. In addition, Children’s Aid Society offers After School Care services to school-aged children at Clearfield Elementary. It is the only program of its kind at the school.

The Nurturing Parenting Program strengthens family relationships and improves communication between all family members. As a result, the program enhances the parenting experience.

Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP) is a support group for grandparents and relative caregivers acting in a parenting role. The program serves Clearfield and Coalport.

Triple P Positive Parenting Program teaches non-hurtful ways to deal with children’s behaviors. The free program includes in-home sessions in addition to group sessions.

Real Relationships is the agency’s newest program. Offering free classes, workshops, and retreats, the program teaches couples and individuals the skills they need to maintain a successful relationship.

In 2015, Children’s Aid Society served 1,285 children and adults.
