GARY CAHILL will captain England in Germany on Wednesday night.
The Chelsea defender will lead out Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions in Dortmund for the friendly clash.
Cahill, 31, has been vice-captain in recent years to Wayne Rooney.

But the Manchester United striker’s absence from the latest squad has handed the opportunity to the centre-half to skipper his country.
Southgate said: “Gary’s going to captain the side. He’s in very good form, he’s one of the players in the squad who knows what’s needed to win. He has won every trophy in football.
“This season in particular he is growing in confidence and stature, showing real confidence on the ball.
“His experience sometimes is overlooked in terms of what he brings because he goes quietly about his job.”

Cahill added: “It’s a huge honour every time you play for England never mind captain the country.”
Cahill is suspended for Sunday’s World Cup 2018 qualifier against Lithuania, ensuring that another man will be handed the responsibility at Wembley.
The 31-year-old looks unlikely to be joined on the pitch in Dortmund by Manchester City‘s Raheem Sterling.
The attacker missed training on Tuesday and is a major doubt to line-up against the Gemrans.
Southgate is also without Harry Kane and Daniel Sturridge for his first game in charge since being appointed on a permanent basis.
That leaves Jermain Defoe, Marcus Rashford and Jamie Vardy as the only strikers in his squad.
His attacknig options were hampered further by West Ham's Michail Antonio withdrawing from the group due to a hamstring injury.
