Declan Rice (born 14 January 1999) is an Irish footballer, who plays as a centre back for West Ham United.

Youth Career

Started his career at Chelsea.

Moved to West Ham as an under 14 following his release from Chelsea.

Named captain of West Ham Under-23’s at 17 years of age.

Named on the bench for the December 2016 game against Swansea City.

Signed a new deal until 2020 in March 2017.

Travelled with the first team squadand was named on the bench for Sunderland away in April 2017.

Named 2017 Young Hammer of the Year.

Made his senior debut for West Ham as a substitste against Burnley on the last day of the 2016–17 Premier League season.
