With the clock ticking towards the big moment (read Diwali), director AR Murugadoss is confident that the audiences will have a blast while watching 'Thuppakki' on big screen.
"'Thuppakki' is like a Rajinikanth film of the 1980s and 1990s. It will be a correct mix of everything fans expect from a Deepavali release," he says. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film will hit more than 1,500 screens on November 13. Songs composed by Harris Jayaraj are already making their presence felt.
Murugadoss further says that both Vijay and Kajal Agarwal are thorough professionals and they gave their best to the film. "Vijay's comic sense is amazing," he says.
Vijay's 'Thuppakki' is garnering much attention, thanks to the poster image where he carries Kajal Aggarwal. It reminds you of a similar poster of Richard Gere's English film. Is 'Thuppakki' based on a Hollywood film?
Clarifying on this, director AR Murugadoss said that it is not the case. Justifying about it in an interview, he said that 'Thuppakki' doesn't have an army backdrop like Gere's film; instead it is set in Mumbai. Besides that particular scene, everything in 'Thuppakki' is original, confirms Murugadoss.
