Can you think of a friend or neighbor who lost a job, had an accident, a sick child, or experienced the death of a spouse and was close to financial devastation?

For the average person living paycheck to paycheck, an unexpected event may cause him or her to get behind in daily living expenses.

As a result, the electricity gets turned off
or a car is reposessed.
Food is scarce.
The rent or mortgage goes unpaid.

Amici Charity offers the opportunity to put a stick in the spokes of this vicious cycle. Sometimes families or individuals just need the chance to get things back in order by taking a breath and re-evaluating the situation.

Amici Charity was founded by Tony and Judy Senzamici in 2011 to help people like this in our community. We provide assistance to individuals and families who may not qualify for typical charities or government assistance as we hope to keep individuals and families above the poverty level. Amici Charity contributions are provided directly to the source of financial concern to promote financial independence.

We all know individuals or families that have been negatively affected at some point in life. With your help, we can make a difference in the lives of those in our community who are struggling.
Those who would not seek or qualify for government assistance, but still need a helping hand to rebound and move upward again.

Tony Senzamici

Founder/President

Tony Senzamici is an actor working in both film and TV. Tony also operates a successful medical supply business that has been in operation for over 20 years. Together with his wife, Judy, Tony founded Amici Charity to provide assistance to those in need of a helping hand.

I am a young mother with three children. For the past several years I had been going to school to complete my degree. I was in my last semester when our family suffered a devastating tragedy. I received a phone call that changed everything. The phone call was to inform me that my husband had been found dead. He had been treated for depression and we all believed that he was doing much better. Unfortunately, the depression and all of the stress must have been unbearable. With no insurance and no income coming in, I was not sure what to do. My husband paid the bills and I did not know that we were several months behind on our home owner’s association fees. The home owner’s association board informed me that if I did not pay the past due fees, they would foreclose on my home. With only three months of school left before graduation, I hated to think that I may need to drop out of school to seek full time employment. I heard about Amici Charity and I reached out for assistance. Amici Charity paid all of my past due home owner’s association fees, which stopped the foreclosure on my home. They also paid two months of current fees. This allowed me to focus on other bills and to have the peace of mind that my children and I would not lose our home. I went on to graduate and now have a full time job. I am so appreciative of what Amici Charity did to help me and my family in our time of crisis. I was a young mother of two whose husband was killed in a car accident. I had been a stay at home mother and my husband worked full time and paid the bills. Unfortunately, I was not aware that we were behind on our mortgage and most of our accumulated bills. We were on the verge of foreclosure and with two young children, I had to explain to them how there was not enough money for us to have Christmas presents for us to open on Christmas day. How do you tell your kids that not only will their Dad not be there for Christmas, but they also will not get any gifts? Amici Charity heard about my struggling finances and approached me to ask what they could do to help. I explained that we were barely making ends meet, but I felt so terrible that my children (after losing their father) would not be able to have any presents to open on Christmas because of our financial situation. Amici Charity provided a beautiful turkey dinner and all of the trimmings and many presents for my children to open on Christmas day. The joy and excitement that was on their faces and in their eyes was indescribable, and I can’t tell you how much that meant to my family. I know the Christmas season is not about getting toys and presents, but watching my children that Christmas morning gave us all a chance to enjoy the Chrsitmas holiday without the fear and worry about paying a bill that would have jeopardized our limited finances at the time. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. We would not have been able to have a Christmas if it wasn’t for Amici Charity.
