Rush Hour at London Waterloo Station in 1970

Classic British Transport Film depicting the morning rush hour in and out of London Waterloo railway station in 1970. A wide array of both diesel and electric motive power can be seen including class 71 and 73 electro-diesels and 2-BIL and 4-SUB units. The film is sped up to show the whole of the rush hour between Clapham Junction and Waterloo and in contrast the orderly pace of the signalman. The concourse at Waterloo has changed beyond recognition in the last 40 years since this was filmed but the lines and view approaching the station remains much the same.
